Thai Massage
It goes without saying, one of the best ways to practise self-care is to get a Thai massage. Thai massage has been proven to have several positive impacts on physical and emotional wellbeing.
For instance, the combination of yoga-like stretches and gentle pressure enhances the function of the parasympathetic nervous system, which relaxes the body after periods of stress.
This not only produces a calm feeling in the mind and body, but it also facilitates a more restful night’s sleep, which allows the body to repair its muscles, organs, and other cells.
Thai Fusion Spa is the pinnacle of luxury Thai massage on the Gold Coast. Our Thai therapists were hand-picked for their incredible massage skills and unwavering commitment to impeccable customer experiences.
Likewise, we spared no expense in crafting a space akin to a high-end spa in Thailand where the ambience is soothing and the massage, breath-taking. Visit our website for more information about Our Story.
Good Food
Studies have shown eating a healthy diet can not only lower your risk of stroke, heart disease, and some cancers, but it can also keep your mental health on track by managing symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Luckily, the Gold Coast is teeming with cafes and restaurants dedicated to producing food equal parts delicious and nutritious.
One such establishment is The Cardamom Pod, a vegetarian café with a fully plant-based kitchen located at Brickworks in Southport.
At The Cardamon Pod, the mode of cooking hails from ancient Indian traditions, wherein food was prepared as an offering of love for Lord Krishna, the god of protection, compassion, and tenderness.
As such, The Cardamon Pod is dedicated to fostering a dining experience kind to your mind, body, and the planet. Head to their website for more information.
Yoga
Originating from ancient India, Yoga incorporates physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to cultivate mental calmness, self-reflection, and harmony in the mind, body, and environment.
Yoga has been shown to have several positive impacts on physical and emotional wellbeing. For instance, the gentle stretches comprising yoga move joints through their full range of motion, thereby releasing muscle and joint tension, increasing flexibility and strength, and so reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
The breathing exercises comprising yoga, meanwhile, help focus the mind, soothe the nervous system, and so reduce the symptoms of stress, anxiety, and fatigue.
Located at Mermaid Beach, Essence of Living is a yoga studio dedicated to mindful movement and intentional practices.
The team at Essence of Living are committed to inspiring positive change in the hearts, minds, and bodies of people from all walks of life, which is why their classes are also available online and in the community. Head to their website for more information.
